Captains Message 2022
On behalf of Lady Captain Patricia Magee and Men's Captain Roger Boyd we would like to welcome members and visitors to our hidden gem which is Coollattin golf club.
Our course is set in South County Wicklow, near Shillelagh on part of what was the original Fitzwilliam estate. The golf club is located in a special corner of the country and enjoys beautiful scenery and tranquillity all year round. The setting includes many features which were developed over the past 200 years.
The course features a spectacular range of trees ranging from traditional oaks to Canadian redwoods planted over a long period. We also have a wonderful selection of Azaleas and rhododendrons, while in full flower especially in May each year are truly spectacular along with our resident birds, squirrels, pheasants and ducks. A centrepiece of our course is the famous Coollattin house. We also have a walled garden where a plentiful supply of apples are available in the Autumn. There are many other features to enjoy while at Coollattin golf course.
As if this was not enough we have a fantastic par 72, 18 hole golf club situated in the magnificent landscape. A great golfing challenge for all golfers. Our course is maintained to a very high standard and is open for play all year round.
After golf you can relax in our friendly clubhouse where you can enjoy a well-earned drink in our comfortable bar and dine in our restaurant.
Most importantly we have very friendly and welcoming members and staff who love to share the stories and show off our great golf course to visitors, groups and societies.
We hope that our members and our visitors enjoy the special place that is Coollattin Golf Club.
